Sorry guys~

Hey everybody, I am sorry I have been neglecting the blogsphere... With no computer in the woods, and then classes started the day after I got back - it has just been wow busy! Summer A classes move really fast, I have two tests already this week....

Camping and kayaking was wonderful. We saw tons, I mean TONS of wild life. We hiked, and kayaked the first day, but only for about 2 hours, and saw 13 gators, two really big ones! Then the next day we kayaked about 8 miles and saw exactly 50 alligators! that is Fifty... a huge wild boar, birds like crazy spoon bills that were pink, great herrons, and this one that looked like a pinguin, but had legs... lol! The next day we kayaked up river, walked up through some rapids.... about 4-5 miles, it was so quiet, none of the canoes could get up there because of the rapids, and all civilization just ended. It was just us and the river! Man it was great, and so were the class 2 rapids on the way back down.

Me next to some of the rapids we handled... big rocks!
I had bruises from walking up them, but none from coming back down~

The pinguin bird

The really big gators! I would say a 10 footer at least and a 7 foot female next to him~

Oh I forgot my digital camera, so the pics are kinda fuzzy but what can you expect from disposables? better than nothing I guess.

I am really enjoying being a full time student! I go to class, and come home and get tons of homework done. I did not manage to clep out of spanish two, so yall get to deal with learning more espanol with me next semester! LOL hope you don't mind!

Lets see, since I last updated my baby cousin (I guess 19 is not really a baby) graduated, and we had a party for him, rode horses, shot skeet... the usual with that crowd! I loved every minute of it!

We are going riding this Saturday, Tessa and I are trailering her horses (one of which is the one she is giving me when she moves) out to Fred's and we are going trail riding with them.

well it is late and I have class early, but I did not want to at least drop in and say hello. I will try to get online tomorrow and check blogs and update a bit more. I miss you guys! I can't wait to read everything that has been happening...

Your Life Path Number is 7

Your purpose in life is to find truth and meaning

You are very spiritual, and you are interested in the mysteries of life.
You are quite analytical and a great thinker. You have many theories and insights.
A life of solitude is perfect for you. You need time to think and do things your way.

In love, you are quite charming. You attract many with your confidence and wit.

While you enjoy being alone, sometimes you take it to an extreme.
You can become too isolated, shutting out loved ones and friends.
Express yourself a little bit more, and you'll be surprised where it takes you!
What Is Your Life Path Number?

Thanks Starbender, for that very cool link!

I have a very busy weekend planned... First of All....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LARRY

Tonight I am taking my bestest friend in the whole wide world (aka my cousin, my roommate, and my coworker [well for the next few days]) to dinner, it is a suprise, so I can't tell you guys about it, cause he may be reading... Then I am dragging him (kicking and screaming) to the mall to buy him some shorts!

Tomorrow, we are headed out to Grandma's (actually for me it is Aunt Elsie's) to have lunch, then I am riding horses with Tessa, skeet shooting again Yippeee (watch out clay pigeons!)... then off to the bowling alley for all of us (Larry's immediate family, my extended family!)

Sunday, I am hoping will be a day of rest and relaxation ... well to a degree... I will be mad cleaning my house, but that to me is relaxing. I have laundry to do, and preperations to make cause next week is it folks, off to the campground we go for four glorious days of kayaking!!! WHEW HOOO..... 17 runs here we come. It is supposed to be one of the most challenging places to kayak in florida...

I have to work in some studying in there somewhere too cause the SAT II is Monday afternoon. Yall keep your fingers crossed for me, say some prayers and wish me luck.... If I can swing a 430 and clep out of Spanish two that opens up this fall for two more classes I can take, leaving my last semester pretty wide open to work on my senior thesis. I think I can do it ~ a veces oido espanol... (sometimes I hate spanish) Really I don't, I want to learn it really really bad, but I also want to be able to focus on my senior thesis. So if I can do it, I want to clep out. If not, then I will take spanish two...

Some thoughts: Within your heart, keep on still, secret spot where dreams may grow. ~Louise Driscoll

Life is like a ten-speed bike. Most of us have gears we never use. ~Charles M. Schultz

Factoids:
Have a snake phobia? Antarctica is the only continent without reptiles or snakes.
This one's for Carmel: Australia is the only country that is also a continent.

Bat man wanna be? Bats are the only mammal that can fly, and they have only one baby a year.

Whole new meaning for bone head! Giraffes are the only animals born with horns. Both males and females are born with bony knobs on the forehead.

Thanks Gals and guys!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes... especially Carmel, who posted a birthday card on her blog!

It turned out to be a pretty good weekend. Riding horses was fun, Sunday I spent mostly cleaning, grocery shopping, and Scrapbooking.... man it is coming along nicely! I am running out of pictures though, I need to get more developed!

Wednesday is my Spanish final, I am getting nervous. I have a B+ in the class now, so if I pulled an A, I would get an A... but that is damn near impossible. I have study group tonight and tomorrow all day. OH and my interview is tomorrow for the NFETC... keep your fingers crossed for me!

Sorry it is not a large update, but I have to get back to work... I will keep you posted on how the spanish exam goes. I am hoping to clep out of Spanish II on May 8th, opening up my schedule for two additional classes I could take in it's place. That puts my last semester with only two classes, and primarly focused on my senoir thesis! That would be ideal!

Thoughts for the day: Opportunity is missed by most people becuase it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. ~ Thomas A. Edison

The more I want to get something done, the less I call it work! ~Richard Bach

There is nothing better than the encouragement of a good friend. ~Katharine Butler Hathaway

Factoids: Lets go bananas!
A cluster of bananas is called a hand and consists of 10 to 20 bananas, which are known as fingers.

Banana plants are the largest plants on earth without a woody stem. They are actually giant herbs of the same family as lilies, orchids and palms.

Bananas are perennial crops that are grown and harvested year-round. The banana plant does not grow from a seed but rather from a rhizome or bulb. Each fleshy bulb will sprout new shoots year after year. (didn't know that did you?)

Bananas have no fat, cholesterol or sodium

In 2001, there were more than 300 banana-related accidents in Britain, most involving people slipping on skins.

The phrase 'going bananas' was first recorded in the Oxford English Dictionary, and is linked to the fruit's 'comic' connections with monkeys.

Espanol: No quiero tomar mi examen para la clase de espanol. I don't want to take my exam for spanish class.

Okay so I found these funny packages/ labeling... there were some really bad ones, but I kept them out. Enjoy!
